Educator

Dan began teaching in 1986 and has taught over fifty thousand one-on-one and group lessons. This unique level of experience has enabled Dan to develop and refine a unique approach to teaching that has been very successful for both him and his students.

Notable Former Students:
- Chris Eldridge: Grammy Nominated, AMHA and IBMA award-winning bluegrass guitarist with The Seldom Scene, The Infamous Stringdusters, Punch Brothers and the “Live From Here” house band.
- Justin Derrico: Lead Guitarist with Pink, Robin Thicke, and “The Voice” house band.
- Samantha Rios: Contestant on La Voz Kids and “The Voice”.

Dan has also viewed himself as a lifelong student by continually taking lessons from masterful players.

Dan has had success as a composer of instrumental music throughout his career.

Notable works include:
- Marathon (jazz combo) - written for the 25th running of the Marine Corps Marathon.
- Fanfare (brass ensemble) - commissioned by the Greater Cleveland PBA.
- Atlantic Fanfare (brass ensemble) - commissioned by the PBA of Passaic County NJ.
